  • Child therapy

My approach to working with children is child-centred, meaning sessions are led by the child and what feels important to them.

Rather than relying on words alone, children are able to express themselves through play, drawing, and other creative approaches. This can help them communicate feelings and experiences that may be difficult to put into words.

I work alongside the child at their pace, offering a steady and supportive space where they can explore, express, and begin to make sense of what is going on for them. Over time, this can support a greater understanding of their emotions and help them begin to regulate and respond to their feelings in a more manageable way.

I also offer regular parent check-ins, providing space to reflect on your child’s experiences in therapy and how best to support them outside of sessions.

  • Adult talking therapy

My approach is person-centred, meaning our work is shaped by what feels most important to you.

I work alongside you, offering attention, curiosity, and reflection as you explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in more depth.

This might involve noticing patterns in how you relate to yourself and others, exploring areas that feel difficult to approach alone, or giving space to experiences that have not yet been fully understood.

I aim to create a steady and containing space where you can think, feel, and reflect more freely. From there, a clearer understanding of yourself often begins to develop, along with a greater sense of how you want to move forward.

  • Creative approaches

While most of my work is based in talking therapy, I may sometimes draw on creative approaches if this feels helpful.

This might include writing, drawing, or other forms of expression, particularly when something feels difficult to put into words or when a different perspective is needed.

These approaches are not about skill or performance, but about offering another way of exploring thoughts, feelings, and experiences. They are always optional and guided by what feels comfortable and appropriate for you.
